WHY VIDEO REMOTE INTERPRETING?
Say you’re a hospital nurse in Chula Vista who receives a hard of hearing patient into the ER. Or, you’re a physician’s assistant in La Mesa who needs to coordinate several physical therapy sessions for a Deaf patient. Interpret San Diego, through its service, SoCal VRI, helps break down language barriers by connecting individuals with qualified interpreters—all through a simple, affordable, easy to use website. Our Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) technology is a secure and scalable cloud-based solution that works with any modern browser.
Interpret San Diego is a strong proponent of developing and providing quality interpreting in any setting. In short, we are proponents of access. While VRI is not ideal for many within the Deaf community, it does provide assistance to those in remote areas who might struggle to find an interpreter. In the medical setting, VRI can also improve quality of care, cut costs, and manage liabilities. There is also a role for VRI during disaster recovery when hundreds of first responders need quick access to interpreters and translators.
100% WEB-BASED, NO SPECIAL HARDWARE
SoCal VRI provides near zero-cost access to interpreters our clients already know, use, and trust. Our VRI system lets users connect to interpreters over encrypted video from virtually anywhere without having to install proprietary hardware or software.
