Terms and Conditions
One-to-two interpreters negotiated on a per hour basis with a two hour minimum, billable at 15 minute increments thereafter if requested. Interpret San Diego provides interpreters who are not only nationally certified, but understand and have built a solid reputation in the San Diego, CA area. Interpret San Diego will supply the interpreter(s) and provide local coordination as directed by the client.
NUMBER OF INTERPRETERS
As a general rule, the number of interpreters referred will be agreed upon in advance based on the nature of the assignment. The decision to use a team rather than a sole interpreter is based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to: the length and/or complexity of the assignment; unique needs of the persons being served; physical and emotional dynamics of the setting; and/or avoidance of repetitive stress injuries for interpreters.
Interpret San Diego’s standard practice is that of the national norm: one (1) interpreter for requests of one hour or less depending on the situation or two (2) interpreters for requests requiring continuous interpreting for more than one hour or when the content is very dense.
All jobs require a 24-hour cancellation. If cancellation is not made before 24-hours of the start time of the appointment, the full quoted payment is required, less projected travel costs. Cancellation windows may be increased for large and/or multi-day assignments.
If the assignment is within the immediate San Diego area, Interpret San Diego will determine the need to charge for mileage on a case-by-case basis, but will always charge for parking at the job site if applicable.
Interpret San Diego will invoice via e-mail for services and fees rendered within 24-business-hours of completing the assignment. If the invoiced is not paid within Net 30, a 5% late fee will be added. An additional 5% will be added every 30 days that the invoice is not paid. Checks must be made payable to ‘Interpret San Diego’ or through PayPal (with a 3% surcharge). Monthly billing for large clients is also provided.
